I realised on my iPhone5 that some notes in the Apple Notes have disappeared. I don't remember deleting them. How did this happen? How do I retrieve them from my backup copy?

Check two things:

1) open notes, then in the upper left corner (if it's there) you should see accounts. Click there and see that you are on "All Notes"

2) Check your iCloud settings to see that Notes is turned on on your iPhone

Thanks. But I don't get the option of "All Accounts" which I used to have on iPhone4.
