How can I prevent Mail from auto-inserting an email signature when replying to a message? I like creating a new message with my signature, but replying to someone doesn't require a signature 90% of the time.
Hi. My question is not how to remove my signature completely. I want to know if I can show my signature only when I compose a new message. I want no signature when I'm replying to an email.
I have never seen a way to set this differently for New Message & Reply to Messages. The signature field should should in the New Message window or the Reply to window. You can choose none in the Signature window to remove it from the message, or you can set the default to None and just add a signature from the list when you want to use one.
Remove the signature from your email.
Go to Preferences within Mail
Go to Signature(s) and remove from your account(s).
Create two signatures, one blank and one with required signature
Then select from the popup which to use when replying or sending
