Suddenly I cannot connect to one website only either with safari or chrome.

The website is www.spectator.co.uk. I can connect to anything else - but not to this one site either using safari or chrome. I have not used parental controls so that can't be the problem. Any ideas how I could have managed to block just this one site?

Many thanks!

The site is working here, so that's not it. Try a different DNS, temporarily. DNS settings can be configured in your router or in Network preferences. Use OpenDNS or some other public DNS service. Undo those modifications when you're finished troubleshooting.

Make sure your Hosts file has not been modified. In Terminal, type the following:

cat /etc/hosts

Post its output. Close Terminal when you're finished with it.
