Hi,
I've been trying to restore my iPhone 5S but I get error 47. I've seen some other forums saying that this probably some hardware defect but there is not a link to apple website describing this error. Anyone has any idea what exact hardware problem this could be? I'd like to fix it myself if possible.

Thanks for the reply Brett. I'm past all the basic troubleshooting and have even taken the phone to genius bar. They got the same error and offered me to replace the phone for ~$285 as the phone is out of warranty. I'm thinking what options I have before going with this replacement offer

I had the same problem as well!
i had try many ways for 3 month and now my iphone 5s WORKED!
I had remove the front camera cable from mainboard and done restore and update with itunes!
with the smile on my face! my iphone working again!
after that i connect the front camera cable (on the right) back to main board and so far no problem ( had fixed for 2 day) but i plan to change the front camera flex after i receive from my supplier!
