Is there a way for me to get all 2,000 photos from my iphone onto the photos app on my macbook without having to delete anything? Currently it is only uploading the last 30 days.

I have had my macbook for a few months, but have not really taken full advantage of it. I am trying to get my phone to communicate with my computer so my photos will be in two locations. I just set up the photos app on my computer, but it will only upload the last 30 days.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Have you considered using iCloud Photo Library instead of Photo Stream? See iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support

The following quote from that link has instructions on how to turn it on:

If you want to turn on iCloud Photo Library on all of your devices, follow these steps:

  • In iOS 8.3 or later, go to Settings > iCloud > Photos, then turn on iCloud Photo Library.
  • In OS X 10.10.3 or later, go to System Preferences > iCloud > Options next to Photos, then select iCloud Photo Library.
