Q: Some of my Music shows up with a red stop?

Why is it that when I go to some of my synced playlists, some of the songs show up with a red stop button inside a circle? it also appears that syncing my 5th gen iPod Touch can take as long as 30 minutes to complete sometimes (iTunes doesn't always tell me what still needs to be synced at the top of the screen, but it seems like all of my ringtones take forever to sync according to the 'itunes wifi sync' screen...) how do I fix this issue? I'm only able to run iTunes 11.4 because my mac is too old to be updated past mac os 10.6.8! thanks!

iPod touch, iOS 8.3, 5th Gen Slate Blue 64 GB model

I suggest that you should turn the Wi-Fi syncing off and sync your device via USB.

If this does not help, you may try resetting your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

    Hope this helps!

I have it syncing via USB, not wi-fi, but the only way to actually know what iTunes is doing is to check under wifi sync in settings...

Strangely enough, when I checked my iPod, it says that the last successful sync was wednesday april 8, 2015 at 12:01 PM... I don't know why it still says that, but it supposedly completely finished the sync process last night...

Make sure you have Wi-Fi sync disabled on both of your devices (see Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with iTunes using Wi-Fi - Apple Support) and then try to sync it again.

I'd also suggest that you should reset the device settings and re-install iTunes.
