PCI Graphics cards?

Managed top pick up a G4 PowerMac from a friend.. Dual 1.25ghz processors. M8570 (EMC 1914)

I was going to set it up as a media server, but need a graphics card what will output audio and video via HDMI into an AV amp.

Do I need to use the 4xAGP graphics card slot, or can I use a much cheaper PCI graphics card in one of the space PCI slots?

Also, I believe the Mac will be USB 1?? Will need to add some USB2 connection.. again I'm guessing a simple PCI card will do the job??

Thanks for any help!

This is probably the best resource on the subject of video cards:

As for USB, this is the adaptor I use in my G4 MDD 1.25ghz SP:

It has worked perfectly for over ten years under OS 10.3 thought OS 10.5
