Why do bluetooth MIDI devices not reconnect?

My bluetooth MIDI devices connect fine if I go to Audio MIDI Setup and manually connect them, but why must this be done every time? It's a pretty tedious process.

Has anyone found a way to get this to happen automatically, like other bluetooth gear (mice, keyboards, headphones, etc.)?

Cant help you with the Quicco so you will have to contact their support dept for further help but...

For the Livid Wing..

Make sure you are using the latest firmware that came out of beta testing earlier this month..and the similarly new version of the Connection Manager...

Then... as per...

http://wiki.lividinstruments.com/wiki/Bluetooth_LE_MIDI_Connection

connect to previously connected device

Holding the 'connect' button will unveil a menu containing this option if you have already connected to a device in this session of the software.
This is designed to allow you to reconnect to a favorite Guitar Wing in a single Click.
An entry will appear as the Guitar Wing's Name and Bluetooth Address:
'Livid Guitar Wing - aaaaaaaaaaaa'

  • name: 'Livid Guitar Wing
  • bluetooth address: 'aaaaaaaaaaaa'

Failing that, you might want to post this question in a more appropriate forum such as the one for your specific Mac Model as it is a hardware question rather than one specific to Logic Pro... (Though I fully understood why you posted here 🙂 )

Example: for the Macbook Pro you would use the following forum...
