rMBP 2015 Wake Reason: ARPT (Network)

I can't seem to find out what is waking my Mac up so much. Battery life on standby is terrible. Snippet from running "syslog | grep -i "Wake reason"" through Terminal:

Can't seem to find out the issue via Google. I have extensively searched.

Appreciate any help.

P.S. this is a duplicate from rMBP 2015 10.10.3 Wake Reason: ARPT (Network). I do not know how it ended up in the OS X Mavericks section because I clearly remembered choosing Yosemite from the dropdown list. Anyhow, that one is closed and I would appreciate any help I can get from this section of the forum.

Thanks.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

I found a fix here http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/253776/macbook-pro-13-with-retina-displ ay-consumes-10-battery-overnight-with-the-lid-c

and more details about it here https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7300625?answerId=30869802022#30869802022

You have to turn SIP off, then do ioreg -l | grep IOPlatformFeatureDefaults and look for corresponding file in /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/X86Plat formPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources

Right click on file, get info, and change permission for Everyone to read and write. Then change these values with texteditor

<key>TCPKeepAliveDuringSleep</key>

<false/>

<key>NotificationWake</key>

<false/>

<key>DNDWhileDisplaySleeps</key>

<true/>

Finally, reboot.

I'm reporting the bug to Apple. Please do the same so they fix it. Whatever changes you make will probably be overwritten by any updates so they'll need to fix it permanently. This affects both 2015 and 2016 Apple laptops

Weird. I'm having this same issue on my new Macbook Pro 2016 nTB

2017-01-06 19:07:22.619816-0800 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) Wake reason: ARPT (Network)

2017-01-06 19:08:15.594342-0800 localhost kernel[0]: (AppleTopCaseHIDEventDriver) [HID] [ATC] AppleDeviceManagementHIDEventService::processWakeReason Wake reason: Host (0x01)

Multiple times per hour I have these wake events. The strange thing is that I restored from a time capsule backup from my 2014 rMBP which I still have, and that one does not have this issue. I checked wake events on that one and I do have the ARPT (Network) events but not the Host (0x01) one. The 2014 was 100% after 24 hours of sleep and 2016 was 95%. Not terrible but definitely not ideal...

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), on a 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 running El Capitan 10.11.6 (15G1611). One week ago, the morning after I arrived at my vacation destination, I found the rMBP battery drained (down to 0%). The behavior was consistent over the next few days, and after a little research (found this discussion), I decided to turn off wi-fi before closing the lid. This preempted the battery drain. BTW, I travel a lot, never experienced this before and have not made any updates for a while. Here is the kicker: the problem disappeared as soon as I returned home. I have not changed anything in my system or in my home wi-fi (airport extreme). I hope this helps you, the problem may not be with your rMBP, it may be your wi-fi device).

Well, there's always the bug reporting that you can do, but I don't know if they'll respond soon enough. The only probable time that they would fix it is when they release the next patch for OS X. In the mean time, I would just wanna disable whatever is causing that wakelock. Unfortunately, so far, only the both of us are experiencing it.

This is definitely an issue with the Wi-Fi on my part. Turning off my Wi-Fi before putting the device to sleep will not trigger any ARPT (Network). Have you tried testing out anything else?

I have a bunch of these wake up as well. And yes, I closed the lid and the battery still drain. Mine is a Macbook 2015 though. Yosemite 10.10.3
