10.2 can't import jpg-files

After updating to 10.2, FCP can't import JPG files. Instead of image of a still import window shows "noice".

Moreover, the JPGs imported to project before updating also became "noice". Tried to transcode JPGs to TIFFS - the same result.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), FC PRO X, Motion 5

I updated to Yosemite and FCP X 10.2 yesterdays morning and since then can't make a very simple project having problems with exporting video and stills and now I can уму export my project because the Share menu is inactive.

My computer's details:

MBP 13 (Early 2011), 2,7 GHz Intel Core i7, Memory 16GB, Intel HD Graphic 3000 (512MB)

Just a quick reading of this thread it's clear that the OP's issues went well beyond not importing still images. If your issue is limited to stills, the causes are probably quite different, Could be system-specific – hardware or software,


Please let us know what your system specs are.


Run the Apple Hardware Test (AKA Apple Diagnostics).
