Wired/Wireless mouse not detected... Not bluetooth or USB problem.

Any mouse that I plug in is not detected. Wireless mouse doesn't even show up at the bluetooth window and plugging in a wired mouse doesn't work either. Also, I have used both of these mouse before but for some reason they don't want to work anymore. I also know that bluetooth is working because it is picking up my roku across the house. I know my USB ports work because I plugged in a memory stick in both slots and it was being read. I'm not an expert when it comes to computers so if anyone can help with a step by step process or give any suggestion that would be amazing!
