I am using Logic 9 with OS Yosemite 10.10.2
It seems as though the Split By Playhead Command suddenly stopped splitting.
Any suggestions as to why?

Check your key commands, might need to load one of the presets. The default (initialized) doesn't have a key comm assigned to that.

I should have clarified more, but you brought up a good point to use a key command.
The problem occurs when I try to use the option that is in the toolbar.
