Logic Pro forum

Hi all,

Are there any Apple support people monitoring this forum and answering questions, or is the forum completely voluntary?

If there are no Apple people here, where is the best place for me to post questions?

Thanks

Matthew Vaughan

Well then, I suppose I'll have to take my place in the queue for a Genius at one of the stores. But thanks for your help mate, I do appreciate it.

(btw, back in the day, Gerhard Lengeling, one of the prime authors of the program, would diligently watch out for such questions and answer them as best he could.....times change!

Cheers mate

Hi Matthew,

To directly answer your question.... no, there is no official support in this forum from the Logic DEV team, it's a voluntary forum only. The people that do post here from Apple (moderators or forum helpers) are generally clueless when it comes to Logic, if they do answer it's generic database type answers that seldom answer the questions correctly.

Yes, I remember that well, also Michel and Markus.

FWIW, I have read through both your posts and have responded, though, as you will see, my answers are not going to be exactly set the earth on fire 🙂

Btw.. You used to be able to purchase Applecare for Pro Apps ($399) if you wished to get real, old fashioned, one to one support..... but that has now been discontinued as of sometime around the middle of last year... and nothing has been set up to replace it....

Personally I have found most geniuses in Apple stores are not Logic Pro specialists at all.. They understand the basics (Installation, basic setup and so on..) and on rare occasions a little more... but most probably they will know less than you do....

I too, wish for those "back in the day' days... when you could actually talk to and get responses from the Devs....

Finally, I would recommend, if you haven't tried already.. to post up the same questions on LogicProHelp

Lots of very knowledgable and helpful people there.... plus the Devs do seem to pay attention to their bugs thread on occasion.. 🙂
