how come it didn't register my stand?

Sometimes I stand up for the hour and even move around a little but it still registers that I didn't stand for the hour. any way to fix that hour or how can i improve it so it recognizes that I stood better?

got off a online chat and then a call with customer service and no solution yet 😟 guess i'll have to try it out for a couple more days and give them more info.

it worked a couple times this morning, but just now i got the notification to stand for the hour and i got up and hopped around for 2 minutes, no stand, then i tried to hold my phone in case you have to have your phone on your body....hopped around for a minute, still no stand.....i'm really hoping it's just my watch is busted and it's not some poorly designed feature especially since cook was promoting the sit/stand problem as the next cancer and how this was going to help solve that.

i've been standing at a work desk and get a reminder to stand up. uh, how much more "up" can i be? i've also noticed that no matter what i'm doing, sitting or standing, it tell me to stand up at :50 of every hour. please tell me this feature is designed to be more sophisticated than that?! i'm pretty sure an iPhone timer could handle an hourly reminder if that's all it is!

I'm having this problem too. Was outside playing with my son the first half of the hour- but at 6:50 I was sitting down. Got the alert and walked around, but still didn't get credit for the hour. Regardless of the alert, I was walking for the first half an hour! If you have to be standing for that one specific minute (X:50-X:51) each hour, that's really stupid.

Guys it only measures your standing every hour, over 12 hours. The idea is that you stand up once every hour if working at a desk or sitting down all day on a lazy Sunday as this will inevitably lead to a brisk walk around. It won't register every stand you do, its not an exercise program.

However, if you like standing up and sitting down a lot this will count towards your calorie goal, which the Apple Watch will measure! :-)
