Q: how come it didn't register my stand?

Sometimes I stand up for the hour and even move around a little but it still registers that I didn't stand for the hour. any way to fix that hour or how can i improve it so it recognizes that I stood better?

exactly what you said.  it tells me to stand, so i say ok and hop around for a minute, and it doesn't register :S  annoying.

Not sure if this will solve the problem but since trying this I received 11 out of 12 and it is consecutive "Stands". Friday and yesterday were no more than 10 and they were definitely not consecutive even though I was standing every hour. I found this on the support page for the watch... How to calibrate it. I've logged several outdoor walks at different paces (with my phone) so that it can learn my pace and stride. So, today I got the 11 out of 12 whether I'm indoors or outdoors and with my phone or not on my body.

    Try it...

I was having an issue where the Apple Watch wouldn't recognize times that I would stand in the Activity app.  After trying everything, I finally reset the watch ("Erase all content and settings" in the iPhone Watch app).  After setting up the watch (as a new device) the watch hasn't messed up once in recording "stand" data.  Give it a shot...

At the very this makes me think that the problem is a software one which can be fixed with a software update down the road.

Your Apple Watch mesures your movement every 10 minutes (if not turned off).

Maybe he wan´t measuring the time you moved and started after your pulse calmed down again.

You can start the Health-App to initiate a direct measuring every where and when you are walking.

This should keep you away from this alert.

    Cheers,

i think it's mostly working now. what i figured out is if it alerts you to stand, it means you have about 10 minutes before the hour is over so you better do it NOW if you want to make it.

stand actually means "stand and walk around", like actually walk somewhere you are moving until it registers.  sometimes it takes a bit over a minute. if you just walk in place it doesn't seem to register.

thanks everyone for the sharing of experiences.

Just restore the watch and it will work flawlessly.
