movie art work turned to gray icons

More than half of the movie icons on my ipad air have been replaced with a gray film icons. They still play fine and all displayed fine before the IOS update. They still look fine in ITunes on my IMAc with Yosemote and my new Apple TV so I think Apple changed the format requirements with their new IOS update. I contacted Apple Care and they seemed to be unaware of this issue and say they are now working on it, but I did Google it and there are many references to it on the net.

I have hundreds of movies in ITunes, so I'm not going to recreate every bit of art work to satisfy some new IOS bug.

Has anybody found a solution?
