Raise my arm, screen turns on. Screen turns back off in less than a second. Raise my arm again, screen turns on. Screen turns back off in 2 or 3 seconds.
Really, Apple? You screw up something as important as this in 1.0? How about a setting for the minimum time the screen stays on?

me too. Profoundly disappointing. I thought the great thing about having the watch would be that I could use it for apps. But ion you can only keep an app active as long as the screen is facing your face, then what the **** good are they. Feels like a total waste of money.
Which watch face are you using? Have you tried several different ones?
The screen on mine stays on for a full five seconds on all faces except the "Motion" butterfly face. The butterfly face behaved in the same manner as what you're experiencing the first couple of times I tried it. After fully charging the watch I get four seconds with the butterfly face. It isn't as stable as the other faces, but I'm able to use it now.
Have you tried fully charging your watch?
This happens to me, even when I am using an app the screen will keep turning off and I have to press it for it to come back on. I think the time out should be user definable in settings?
