There are numerous safari things that stink, but the "clear history and data" is THE SINGLE MOST IRRITATING thing about safari yet. Has anyone figured out a way to clear browsing history and keep website data?
MacBook Pro, G5 and 12 others..., Mac OS X (10.4.6)
Click "History" in the Safari menu bar and choose "Show History" from the dropdown.
Select the history items to be deleted and press delete key on the keyboard.
Don't click the "Clear History" button at bottom left of the "Show History" page.
Sadly...that's a work around that takes a lot more steps than the "clear history" safari had before they "improved" it.
But it is better than nothing.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
