When creating an original camera roll from pictures taken previously, how do you insert pictures without deleting those up to the point necessary. At present at ones added will only go on at the end.

You cannot rearrange photos in the camera roll. If you create albums on the iPad, you can arrange the photos in those albums.

After you have created an album, tap on that album to open it. Then tap Select in the upper right corner. Choose a photo that you want to move. Hold down on it until it enlarges slightly. Do not let go of the photo. When it is in this mode, you can drag it wherever you want it to appear in the album. Tap Done when you are finished.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to answer my question. My 10 year old granddaughter was delighted to learn a way in order to set up a story of her life in pictures, drawing and 'script with relative ease. It's always easy when you know how. Thank you for making it easy.
