When I open up keynote the keyboard is unresponsive - not typing and key shortcuts are not working. I can use the drop down menus however! This is a random event as sometime when I open up it is fine. I have to restart the mac to re-open keynote and sometimes it opens fine - sometimes not - crazy!
Any idea?
Test with any other USB keyboard, if it works buy, a new keyboard; any make and model of keyboard works with a Mac.
This does not help me really as I have a macbook pro!! Thanks anyway.
It will determine if an external keyboard works and your Macbook keyboard is faulty
I have a new (6-month) old macbook pro and just started having the exact same issue. Clearly my keyboard works elsewhere. Did you figure out your issue? Is there possibly an update?
