available space shown on phone does not match space shown in iTunes

Does anyone know why my iPhone says I have 274 MB available, but iTunes would say I only have 1.82GB free? iPhone 6 Plus running 8.3

Did you already try to restore the phone from the latest backup?

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

I finally got around to doing this (family vacation - dude ranch). I did a full back up, erased everything and then tried to restore from back up. The phone is working though it, but it has disconnected multiple times. All my old apps showed up darkened out and are slowly disappearing. Is that supposed to happen?

Now I am getting worried. It has been an hour and all the apps are on my iPhone but dark and say "waiting". The same app is filled in about 30% and says "loading". What have I gotten myself into. iTunes just says "determining apps to sync" How long do I wait?

It was for a while, but the same thing started to happen. I am going to restore to factory settings and install one app at a time to see if I can find out what is going on. Thanks for you help.
