I need help. I am trying to transfer sarfari bookmarks from iMac to iPad. both OS are uptodate. Tried sync from backup, several times. No joy. I tried several suggestions from the internet. No luck. It appears that these suggestions are old since some of the options on itnes for sycing bookmarks are not available. Can anyone offer valid suggestions.

Have you tried using iCloud on both devices?

Does that mean that you are using iCloud and have enabled iCloud on both devices? If the answer is yes to both. On the iPad go to Settings>iCloud>Safari>On. On the Mac go to System Preferences>iCloud>Safari>On.
You need to be signed into iCloud on both devices as well.
