Calculator issue

I wonder why this particular question seems to show up in batches? We've seen it about half a dozen times in the last couple of days.

And with the same examples.

We as a civilization seem to be losing whatever arithmetic and logic skills we had. Yesterday an associate needed to subtract 600 from 787. He had to take out a calculator to do it.

I suppose someone posted it on social media, saying "look at this calculator bug". To be fair, I think the interface on the calculator could be tweaked to give more feedback.
