Q: make movies small enough to be sent by email or iMessage

I just shot a video on my iPhone but it is 205 mB; way too big to send by email or iMessage. Any way to make the movies any smaller so that they can be sent by email or iMessage?

iMAC and MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.9)
