I Haven't used this phone in 2 yrs now I want to activate cause my other U.S. broken I've reset my password successfully and still no luck

We need more information. What is the exact message you get when you try to activate it? Does it have a currently registered SIM card (assuming it's not Verizon or Sprint). If it IS Verizon or Sprint in the US have you contacted the carrier to activate your account on the phone?
Thanks Lawrence, my carrier is Sprint and I stopped using the phone a while back and chose the android market for a while but I'm now trying to use my iPhone again and I can't seem to remember my icloud email but I've been allowed to change my password with my backup Gmail but when logging on it says I need my icloud username and when I try to retrieve it only allows me to change my password
You will need to remember your Apple ID, which is your iCloud username. It is the email address you used when you created your Apple ID. You can contact Apple's Account Security Team for help with finding it: Apple ID: Contacting Apple for help with Apple ID account security
