iTunes Bluetooth dropouts to Sony receiver

I was experiencing dropouts when playing iTunes through Bluetooth from a MacBook Pro 15 inch retina (early 2013) to a Sony STRDN840 receiver.

Installing the latest software update to the STRDN840 solved the problem.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
