Which is the most compatible printer for my iMac/Yosemite?

There is no most compatible. Both Epson and Canon have excellent photo printers (which also do documents) or more general printers for both documents and photos. Can't speak for the other brands as I've not use them.

There are too many to list here. The printers you are interested in, read the system requirements. Also, do a Google search & read the reviews.

I have always used Epson's printers/scanners. Never a problem. They just work. However, which printers that works for one may not work for others. It's all a matter of preference &/or how you use your printer.
