Transferring Game Data?

I have a few games on my iPhone (which has recently broke) that I have put some money into. If I back up my iPhone to transfer it to a new one, will it transfer the game's data or just the app itself? Also, if it transfers just the app, is there a way I can transfer the game's data another way? I currently have 8.3.
