Instaling Windows 8 onto a Flash Drive

I understand how to instal Windows using Bootcamp & creating a petition, but I'm trying to save space on the HHD so i was wondering if it's possible to install it directly onto a USB Flash Drive? Thank you.

You can't create a Boot Camp partition on a Flash drive. You can, however, create a virtual machine of Windows 8 using VMware Fusion, Parallels, or Virtual Box, and while the program would be on your internal drive, the VM file itself could be on an external drive including a Flash drive. However, do not expect the performance of the Flash drive to equal an external HD or SSD, let alone your internal SSD.
