does iphone 5s get overcharged?

I slept for 9 hours leaving my iphone charging.

Will it damaged anything on my Iphone especially the battery?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2

It will not damage the battery, as charging stops when the battery reaches 100%.

It's actually a good idea to charge the phone overnight, every night. That will assure that you have a full charge at the start of the day. And, if you enable iCloud backup, your phone will back up automatically every day.
