can i back up more than one macbook pro to my time capsule?

Yes, you can. The practical limit is 4 or 5 Macs backing up to the same Time Capsule.

No need to partition...just start the other Mac backing up. You would have to pull the hard drive from the Time Capsule.....voiding the warranty....if you really wanted to partition the Time Capsule drive.


Time Machine will keep backups for each Mac in separate files.


Each Mac will normally only be able to see the Time Machine backups that it has made....not backups of the other Mac(s).
