I have an IPad3., in which Safari has recently been frozen with a website mobileappsinstall.com appearing and advising me that we have won a lucky prize. The consequence unless I click OK is that Safari has frozen. What can I do?

IPad 3, Safari has frozen with message displayed http://mobilappinstall.com. "Your iPad was randomly selected as todays lucky mobile device! You have one unclaimed prize. Click OK to claim your prize now."

I have not clicked OK and the screen is frozen. Has anybody encountered this - potential virus?

If you double tap the home button, can you swipe up on the Safari window to close it?

If so, then open Settings->Safari-> Clear History & Website data.

if not do a soft reset by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears then let go & let the iPad boot up normally,

Then open Settings & clear Safari's history & website data.
