Make sure the iPod is dry. To dry place in a sealed container with a desiccant (uncooked rice is OK) for a week and periodically change the rice. Turning the iPod on before it is dry can permanently damage parts of the iPod
Then try:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
i need my ipod to work before a week so would it be okay if i skipped the drying part and went straight ahead to the dfu method?
someone told me to dry my ipod by keeping it out in the sun as it worked for them so i did so too.
so do u think it would be dry and i can do the dfu method?
If the iPod is not dry and you try to turn it on or connect to computer you could fry components in the iPid and destroy them
how do we know whether the ipod is dry enough or not?
it was out in the sun for a long time..
should i still do the rice method?
If it was in the sun for a week then it should be dry
okay thanks alot!
