can i have 2 users on my laptop with diffrent os

Is it possible to have two users on my laptop with fifrent os.I want one for work with mavericks and one for gaming with yosemite.Is it possible?

MacBook, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Besides partitioning your disk and installing Yosemite on the 2nd partition, you could also install virtual machine software (VMware Fusion, Parallels, Virtualbox) and then install the 2nd operating system in the virtual machine. This will let you have 2 operating systems running concurrently, each with its own user(s).


However, virtual machines are not always the fastest things, and they do tend to consume your RAM, so you want to make sure you have a lot.
