Q: sync all albums in my pictures with photo

Hi all,

Looking to sync/check that all photo albums I have in My Pictures/Pictures in Finder are showing in new Photos(previous IPhoto).Also can I delete photos in Photos or do I need to do elsewhere to permanently do so.
