Twitter and Instagram only access latest photos not all.

I've had this issue for a while and can't figure out why it's happening. I can't access all my photos when wanting to upload on twitter and instagram. It only shows the latest 300 or so in the camera roll or the latest photos in each folder I have. Other apps like afterlight and facebook can access everything. I've checked the privacy settings and all seems to be in order. Using iOS 8.3 on an iPhone 6.
