Hi : Maic Air on Yosemite 10.10.3
the keyboard shortcut function (text shortcuts) does not work in applications (personal mail, windows office, firefox, etc...).
it only works with Apple Safari, and Apple Mail and other native Apple applications. Fustrating.
It should be a parmeter to set up somewhere ???

What kind of keyboard shortcut you try to use?
On Mac application, most shortcut use conbination with command key, but window applications use conbination with control in main.
It is also better to check the key assignment in your environment ( bootcamp or VMware or Parallels ? ) for Windows.
