XCode won't install

I finally bought my first Mac (2007 Macbook running Snow Leopard 10.6.8). It has a 32bit processor (Intel Core Duo).

Now I've already compiled and made html5 web apps as native desktop apps before on Windows, Linux, and Android.

I've been working on a web app that does that itself when you choose to save it as a Windows or Linux app (which is already completed). However now I'm working on making it as a native mac application, and will also allow the user to export they're web app as a native mac desktop application.

The app that I'm working on is called kodeWeave.

I found an app called Fluid which is perfect for my needs, but it requires 64bit processors. (I had to find an old Google Chrome version just so I can get my bookmarks and extensions, which was a huge headache)

I knew I had to learn Objective-C, but I didn't think I'd have to worry about compatibility as much.

I can't install XCode, "Xcode can't be installed on Macintosh HD because Mac OS X version 10.10 or later is required." According to the Swift page it's a requirement. "Xcode is the Mac app used to build every other Mac app, and every iOS app, too. It has all the tools you need to create an amazing app experience."

I downloaded Xcode 3.2.6 from Apple's Developer downloads (extracted the installer from the dmg to my downloads) and when I run the installer it says, "The Installer can't locate the data it needs to install the software. Check your install media or INternet connection and try again, or contact the software manufacturer for assistance." (Here's a screenshot - i59.tinypic.com/ajwm7n.png)

As you can see I've been trying to get XCode to run on my Mac and I haven't had any luck.

I was considering hiring someone to do the work for me, but they're charging way to much for a simple project. (If I'm gonna spend $500 I'd rather buy a new refurbished mac)

If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

~Michael
