Backing up my iPhone 6 Plus

I receive the following message repeatedly when I backup my iPhone 6 Plus in iTunes, "There are purchases on “MY NAME’s iPhone” which are not in your iTunes library. Would you like to transfer these purchases from your iPhone?" I have repeatedly selected "Transfer Purchases". However, it appears that when I do several songs I have moved to iCloud begin to download into my Music Library. I've let the process download the songs. After, I've deleted the same songs so they go back to iCloud. I still receive the same message when I backup my iPhone again. Am I missing something? Why should "Purchases" mean download songs to my Music Library. And why should I receive the same message every time I backup my iPhone. Please advise.
