I have had to update my bt mail password. When I use this new password in my iPhone and iPad Settings I receive the message ' Incorrect Password'. What do I need to do?
iPhone 4S, iOS 8.3
Settings>>>mail ,contacts,calendars>>BTinternet>>>Account>>>change password in relevant space
Thank you for the reply - however this is exactly what I do - and for some reason it doesn't work. I have been here before following bt password changes and I cannot remember how I solved it before. Very frustrating it is too !!!!!!!!!!!!
I know the problem I have BT Fibre and the inevitable troublesome default email address ( I don't actually use it but monitor in case BT decide to send something there )
Try deleting the account from the same place in settings and then set up again this time it should let you insert the password and work .....hopefully

I had the same problem a while ago. You can solve it by deleting the account on the phone and then re-add it (with the new password).
Does that mean resetting all the IMAP Account information everything including Ports etc - or do I just input my Password ?
It means setting up the entire account again on the phone. I use a POP account - so do not have all that hassle.
