I'm considering the iCloud storage with the new Photos application in the latest release of Yosemite, 10.10.3. I have a couple of Macs each with their own iPhoto library and one with two libraries. Many photos and videos exist in multiple libraries. When uploaded to the cloud for the new Photos application will these duplicates just go up once or will they be duplicated and use additional storage?

This isn't really what I wanted to hear. I was hoping it would realize and skip the same photo and/or video so that we could consolidate things and not use so much space. Maybe some time it can be added as an option.
I'll ask the hosts to move your post to the Photos community. Maybe someone there has a better answer.
