Consistent "Verification Error" when logging on to iCloud

I've been trying to log on to my iCloud account for days now on my mobile devices, but consistently get either a verification error or incorrect password, even though I've reset the password three times. Also, my Airport utility reports "invalid password" for my account but won't accept the new password. Have talked wit Apple support, which suggested resetting network settings and doing a complete reset on both devices (iPhone and iPad), to no avail. Am running IOS 8.3 on both devices.


More confusingly, on my iMac, I can sometimes log on to iCloud using the reset password, but it's inconsistent (maybe because of the Airport router's problem?). When I switch from my home Wi-Fi network to the Personal Hotspot on my iPhone, the iMac logs on with no problem.


Any ideas?
