Q: Icloud calendar

Im am learning to sync icloud calendar with my iphone.... when I am entering an appointment on icloud calendar from my laptop in few seconds it will appear on my iphone.. but when i delete an appointment from icloud calendar it won't delete from my iphone calendar!! can anyone help me please?
