MY mouse will not keep a connection with the Mac. I replaced the batteries, not the problem. does the mouse need to be replaced?

Is there any Wifi interference around, or USB3 devices?

I removed my phone and iPad from the area, about 25 feet from my computer. I've had my computer set up for a while (few months) and I've not had a problem. Should I move them farther away?
That should be far enough, do you get that problem when they're that far away?
Yes, I've been having this problem for the past week. I changed batteries, then ensured they wer snug with some paper. Todat I was totally unable to move the curser to make any connections. I thought about running out and getting a mouse with a sub port. But I've not had problems in the past although I don't us the computer that much I am now in a situation that I plan on using it every day.
I'd certainly try a USB mouse, especially if this problem one is an Apple device.
