apple watch messages not going through

My text messages are not going through to anyone. Help?

I Was able to fix the problems. It took me a while.

  • I Unpaired the watch from the phone
  • Reset network settings
  • Hard reset my phone (hold the home button and side button)
  • Paired back and set it up

(I do have 2-step verification so that may have caused this)

  • Log out of iMessage
  • use a app-specific password to sign in. (And yes. I may have tested too many variables)

That fixed it for me. Hopefully it will work for you

HI, I had the same issue with notifications not coming through.


Spent 2 hours with a tech to resolve. As has been mentioned in various other posts, nothing will come through if you are actively using an iPad or iPhone at the same time, I.e. If either of these devices are not in sleep mode, the notifications won't come through to the watch. You also may need to have the watch on your wrist. We spent several hours repairing and resetting, to no avail. This was the cause.
