I didn't use to have problems opening and reading my PDF files in iBooks.
However, yesterday my MacBookPro started not to open any PDF files.
Its books, the app would open normally, but PDF files it just blinks the apps at the bottom of its screen but do not open any file.

When you double-click on a PDF file in iBooks, the PDF actually opens in the Preview app. Is Preview working fine for you otherwise?

The problem in my Preview App was with *.plist files. Once I deleted them from my Applications folder, my problem with the app fixed and could be used properly.

I guess my question here is why would PDF's open in Preview and not in iBooks? What is the point of adding them to iBooks if it just route them elsewhere?

Hi, was this resolved because on El Capitan 10.11.1 (15B42) it is the same... i mean when i double click the pdf file from ibooks it just opens preview which i really find silly!
