Apr 26, 2015 8:20 AM in response to Jsukysby pmiles,The whole Photos migration was a bit of a mess. If you had iPhoto installed but not the latest update, Photos automatically migrated your iPhoto library and disabled iPhoto. If you had iPhoto installed and had the latest update, Photos didn't automatically migrate your iPhoto library nor did it disable iPhoto. For some it did, for others it didn't. It wasn't a smooth transition. It sounds like you downloaded the beta version of Photos prior to the release of OS X 10.10.3. This version isn't attached to the OS like the current release is. Photos now comes with the OS and cannot be removed. If you are not running the latest version of the OS, I suggest that you do so to run the latest version of Photos. This will essentially reinstall Photos for you. The below link will tell you how to manually migrate your libraries to Photos.

First, make a copy of your iPhoto Library if you don't already have a backup.
Open Photos while holding down the Option key.
It will ask for the location of your Photos Library.
Choose your iPhoto Library.
It will convert that Library to a Photos Library, making a copy of it.
