Live video input into thunderbolt 2?

For an AV job, I used to have a video camera plugged into the Firewire 400 port on a Mac Mini (mid 2012) into a program called ProPresenter for live video feed. I recently upgraded to the Mac Pro (Late 2013). There's no Firewire port, so I have two adapters: Firewire 400 to 800 and Firewire 800 to Thunderbolt. When I plug the camera into the Thunderbolt 2 port, I'm not able to find it in the preferences in ProPresenter or in the Finder.

Am I missing a step? Do I need a driver or something?

No drivers are required.

Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM?PRAM

Do you have any other FW devices to test with?

I used same adopters when I migrated my 2013 Mac Pro from my 2009 Mac Mini.

Did the 2012 Mac Mini have the same OSX version as you are using on the Mac Pro?

It could be incompatible with the Mac Pro. I ask because I have n iSight camera (FR400) that worked with my 2009 Mini with before Mavericks but would not work with Maverick. It would also not work with my 2102 Mac MIn but the camera but not mix work on my 2103 Mac Pro
