How to transfer photos from 4S to a flash drive

My Iphone 4s is operating slowly and uses lots of battery up. I was thinking I would like to transfer all my photos to a flash drive. Is there anyway to do this without sending to my computer first? Think this would help my problem? How can I tell how full my memory is? suppose to have 16GB....
