Q: sort Photo library by date photo was taken

I want to sort my Photo library by date photo was taken. I have OLD photos that I scan into my computer. I want to add the correct date and have the photo appear in the proper date context. That worked with iPhoto, but does not change a photo's position in the new Photo program.

MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.53 GHz), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

    That worked with iPhoto, but does not change a photo's position in the new Photo program.

    It will not change the position in the Moment, but if you create an album from the moment, the album will be sorted correctly.
